And no Queenstown skiing holiday would be complete without a day or two at Coronet Peak.

Coronet Peak is the South Island's oldest and most established ski resort, with stunning views over Queenstown. It has a wide range of runs, suitable for all skill levels. Offering a broad, sun baked field, Coronet stretches over the slopes of a sizeable mountain, and its facilities are some of NZ's best.

There are dedicated beginner slopes, and a range of long, wide trails for the more experienced. With heaps of dips and drops you will never be lost for choice.

Coronet Peak also boasts a natural terrain park for boarders with an almost never ending range of features.

The Remarkables, one of New Zealand's most popular resorts, is well loved for its amazing views, wide open runs and powder.

Set in an enormous basin, this sun bathed, north facing resort offers a long reliable season. At almost 2,000 metres, the Remarkables are Queenstown's highest ski field, and offer a wide range of runs to suit skiers and boarders of all skill levels. Stunning terrain, some awesome off piste runs and the brilliant Homeward Bound run will leave you exhilarated.

 This learner friendly resort has a range of chairlift accessed sheltered bowls. And experienced skiers and boarders will love the one hundred and fifty metre long Super Pipe, and the Xbox Terrain and Rail Park.

Cardrona & Treble Cone (service town Wanaka)

With over three hundred hectares of wide open trails, plunging chutes and thrilling terrain parks, Cardona is one of NZ's favourite resorts.

With lots of chair lifts, access to Cardrona's three large basins is seldom a problem. And with a wide range of runs and features, Cardrona offers plenty for skiers and boarders of all skill levels. On mountain facilities include several cafes, a store and a hire shop.

As testament to Cardrona's quality, it plays host to more than twenty international and national events annually.

  Treble Cone sits high above the beautiful lakeside township of Wanaka, and boast amazing views.

Skiers and boarders of all ages will find something to their liking at Treble Cone. With New Zealand's largest skiing area, it has a huge variety of conditions. Three large basins provide dedicated areas for learners and a range of manicured trails to thrill the intermediate skier. And experienced snow hounds will enjoy the selection of advanced trails, ungroomed powder and half pipes.

Treble Cone also features the fastest quad chair lift in NZ, giving you more runs per day than any other field in the country. Their saddle quad chairlift takes you to the nation's highest lift accessed trails, longest groomed runs for intermediate skiers, and the South Islands highest vertical drop.

Dry powder, an average snow depth of over three metres, and an annual snowfall of over five metres, ensure a lengthy reliable season.
