What DriveNow do

DriveNow provide online booking facilities for car and campervan rentals through New Zealand, Australia, North America, Europe and the United Kingdom. They are dedicated to providing market leading rates.

DriveNow Pricing

Quoted prices are the drive away price. No extras like booking fees, taxes or stamp duty. What you see is what you pay.

When you make a booking with DriveNow it is sent directly to the supplier of your vehicle. Because they work with all of the major suppliers, they are able to offer you a wide range of market leading prices, with the benefit of being able to compare quotes from each supplier. Once you place your booking you will receive online and email confirmations.

When do I need to pay?

If you book a car, most suppliers require no payment until you collect your vehicle, and most don't even require details of your credit card. Payment is made in full when you collect your vehicle.

For motorhomes and campervans, most suppliers require payment around six weeks before collection. But if you are booking more than six weeks prior to collection no deposit is required until six weeks out from collection.

What about insurance excess

Most car rental companies will require you to pay an "excess" in the event of accident, damage or theft. This excess can be upwards of $2,500.

The excess can usually be reduced by payment to the supplier of a daily fee (currently around $30 per day). However a cheaper alternative may be to check your travel insurance policy, as many policies include cover for rental car excess. In the event of an accident you would still need to pay the excess to the vehicle supplier, and would then lodge a claim with your travel insurer.
